Building Instruments

Learning Outcomes and Specific Purpose:
Students will design and build musical instrument using recycled materials. Through this they are using a '...range of media, materials,equipment and technologies to make arts works' (VCAA, n.d.) both visually and musically.
Prerequisite knowledge and/or links to previous/future lessons:
No prior knowledge is required to participate in this lesson.
Resources Required:
Any recycled materials the teacher and students are able to gather for example; shoe strings, cans, plastic bottles, bottle tops, paper, wood, cardboard etc.
Glue
Nails and Hammer (Only to be used by the teacher)
Sticky Tape
Scissors
Coloured Pencils, textas, crayons etc.
Paper
Computer

and the student's description of the instrument. Attached is the rubric that students' work
